Part 1
Janie and Cabel go on vacation to get a break from all the madness of the dreams and trials for the bust of her three teachers. But while on vacation Janie's best friend Carrie calls and tells her that Janie's drunk of a mother has lost it and that she is at the hospital. When Janie and Cabel get to the hospital they realize that Janie's mom isn't the problem but that Janie's dad that she has never met was in there because of a brain tumor.
In the book Janie's mom goes off on Janie for being gone and not telling her where she went. I personally think this was a terrible thing for her mom to do. Janie's mom never talks to her or pays any attention to her so she shouldn't go off on her like that, even if she is her mother
This book is extremely hard to relate to so i'd rather not.
