I have decided to reread my favorite trilogy, reading one book each week for three weeks.
Wake part 1
1 hour
pages 1-86
First I would like to say that if I read a book more than once I must really like it because I almost never do that.
This series is about a girl named Janie who falls in to peoples dreams and can't get out, seeing what everyone dreams of. Shes had to live her whole life with this disability and hasn't told anyone because her mom is a huge alcoholic and her father is not in the picture, suddenly she meets a guy named Cabel who seems to understand her, and help her with her problem. She falls for Cabel but he becomes unfaithful and lies to her. so now they are no longer speaking.
When I first picked up this book two summers ago I thought "hmmm, It would be pretty cool to be able to see peoples dreams" but after reading the book it just sounds terrible. No matter who is dreaming, or when they dream Janie is helpless. Her body goes numb and she looses control of what she is doing.
The only way I think I can connect with this story is that, I tend to figure out things about people that I wish I didn't know, not because I can "see peoples dreams" but because people tell me things. Not all of them are bad, but I just wish I didn't know so much about my friends,
I wonder why people tell you so much. What do you think it is that makes them do that?
